It was there on the hallowed grounds of Tougaloo College, Anthony gained membership in the Gamma Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in the Spring of 1999.

Reverend Anthony accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at Bell Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Indianola, MS under the sage hand of the late Dr. David Matthews. It was there, at Bell Grove, where Anthony received the call of God to the ministry. He acknowledged the call and was licensed (2002) and ordained (2003) as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As an avid student of the Scriptures, with a desire to reach higher heights in the Lord, while proclaiming the gospel, and reaching souls for Christ, he received a Bachelor’s of Theology at Agape Bible College in West Memphis, Arkansas in May 2017. He is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Theology at Agape. As an assertive businessman, he is a personal financial consultant. He assists families in protecting their assets, providing for the children’s college fund, retirement planning, and debt management. With over twelve years of experience, he has established a track record of consistent financial leadership with sound business practice in the Delta Region of Mississippi. He has a reputation of self-directed professionalism with excellent problem-solving, communication, and managerial skills.

Since 2007, Reverend Anthony has served as the CEO of Anthony & Company, LLC a professional services firm, and an independent representative of Primerica Financial Services in Indianola and Flowood, MS. In 2009, he and his wife saw a need for better quality childcare services in the impoverished Mississippi Delta and decided to start Delta Development Institute & Interpretive Center. Its mission was to provide quality childcare services, housing and education counseling, financial literacy and wellness, voter education and economic development services. He is the former chaplain at St. John and St. Anthony’s Hospice and Palliative Care in Ruleville, Mississippi. Reverend Anthony believes in civic responsibility and social engagement and that we should all have service at the core of our foundation.

Because of that belief, he has served as a member of the Board of Alderman of the City of Indianola, the same seat his father once held. “Our service is our gift back to the world that our Creator has blessed us to live in,” he contends. He is also the newly elected Mississippi State Representative from District 31 which encompasses Sunflower, Humphreys, Bolivar, and Washington Counties.

Since his call to the gospel ministry, Reverend Anthony has served as pastor of the Big Morning Star M.B. Church, Indianola, and pastor of the Markham Missionary Baptist Church in Inverness. Currently, he is at the helm of West Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Lexington, and the Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Lexington as well.
